Before a get to an overdue post, I want to tell you a story. Ahem,
Once upon a time, I was at __________ and _________ walked up to me and said, “You know, I love your blog and look at it every _____. But I have a deep fear against…well…commenting…”. Then _________ sighed and I sighed.
When did this story happen? ALMOST EVERY DAY. Okay, maybe not every day. But so often it’s making me wonder — how many of you out there are afraid of the comment box? Moral of the story: If that’s you, just know that a single comment literally makes my day. Whenever someone comments I talk about it all day to anyone who doesn’t shut me up first. But let’s get to the important stuff…
There is just something about sisters. Especially two grown-up sisters that have impeccable style and gracious hearts. When the younger Nguyen sister e-mailed me about her idea for their session, I immediately knew it was going to be great. The girls grew up in Portland and wanted to take some sister pictures around downtown, meaning this was my very first session in Portland! Hopefully it won’t be my last because it was a total blast adventuring around downtown.
We started the day off at Powell’s, the most beautiful bookstore in the whole entire world.

how wonderful are these book covers?

the wind had a mind of its own when it came to hair

Mom and Dad joined us at the end of the shoot for some downtown family pictures

we went into the girl’s nearby hair salon to hide from the cold wind for a bit
