6 days in to the new year and I have still. not. blogged. Something is wrong with me! And this thing happens to be my shaky internet : / It’s still not working quite well enough for me to drown you in the amount of photos that I want to but I’m still going to take advantage of it and work on one of my resolutions for the year: McBlog more often. I’m hoping 2010 will bring lots of good McBlogging and even some happy-making commenting from you McBloggers out there (I’m shameless, I know…).
I’ve had the opportunity to tromp around with my camera and a couple of different families lately and if there is one thing I’ve learned it’s that every single family is different. You think that would’ve been obvious but it is truly wonderful to walk into every session not knowing what it’s going to be like. There’s the dynamic between the photographer and the subject, and then there’s the dynamic between the subjects themselves. It’s so wonderful to get the chance to try to capture what makes each family different — the quirks, the inside jokes, the love. And, yes, sometimes even some tears from the little ones. It’s a little terrifying to work with so many people and personalities all at once but I’m loving it.
Here’s a little bit of my adventure with the Carey family.
