But yes, I haven’t posted in WEEKS.

And since I feel like such a bad McBlogger, starting this Friday I’m dedicating the weekend a Self Portait Friday marathon of sorts. Warning: it shall be epic.

I can’t believe it’s time to start talking about the 2010/2011 senior season! As my 2009/2010 clients get ready to graduate, I can’t help but be reminded of my own experiences with graduation with last year. It seems as though it was only yesterday that I was graduating myself and to think that I’ve already photographed another class and preparing for the next?! Insane.

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you might already know that I’m scouting out senior reps this year! Since this is something new I’m trying out this year, I thought I’d answer a couple questions…

Q: What is a senior rep?

A: A senior rep serves as a sort of high school ambassador for Brielle McClain Photography. Senior reps will do a normal senior session with me and then receive web images for promotion on their Facebook/Myspace/etc, as well as some promo cards/coupons to give to their friends and family. The major perk of being a senior rep is that with every person they refer who books a senior session, the senior rep receives 10% off of their session fee! And yes, you can refer enough people to where you can get your entire senior session free — am I blowing your mind yet?

Q: Can anyone be a senior rep?

A: YES! Any one graduating in 2011 who lives in the Willamette Valley area (or are willing to travel to Corvallis/Eugene/Portland/Salem) are eligible to be a senior rep. I will be accepting senior reps on a first come, first serve basis but even those who inquire after I’ve selected my group of senior reps will receive a great deal on their senior session. So really, all you have to do to get a sweet deal is contact me ASAP! Hint: By now, your mind should be blown.

Q: How do I sign up?

A: Shoot me an email at brielle@briellemcclain.com stating your name, town and that you want to be a 2011 senior rep! It’s as easy as that. 

If you won’t be graduating in 2011 but know someone who is, feel free to pass this great deal on!

I feel like this is another opportunity for me to say thank you to the McClients and McReaders out there. You guys have given me the best beginning of the most wonderful career a girl could ask for. I can’t wait to see where all of this goes next and hope all of you will be there with me.

Oh, and because my hands are in this post I’m counting it as my self portrait friday…I know, I know! I’m such a cheat. But I’m a busy girl! Next week I’ll really work Self Portrait Friday out and you’ll love me again.

And you can probably guess. And you most likely will guess correctly. But tomorrow I will SHOW you what it is. And it will be a glorious day.

It’s not that I didn’t love the old one. It’s just that I’ve been so excited to launch a cohesive Brielle McClain Photography “look”. So far BMP (it hurts me to shorten it) has been created similar to a tornado…the elements come together and then suddenly it happens and wreaks havoc on a small village of cows. Literally throwing my business together as fast as possible means I didn’t get to focus on the aspect of branding and image as much as I would like to. This new McBlog is the first step to the new Brielle McClain Photography, complete with a new website coming very soon (yes, folks, eventually that link in the menu bar that says “{website}” WILL work). Thank you again for

3) having a part in the creation of Brielle McClain Photography. Whether you’ve hired me, blog-stalked me or simply glanced at my work once or twice — YOU’VE made this possible. And because a true McBlog is not without a picture, I’m sharing some oldies that got a new face lift. Every time I look back on my pictures from my trip to Europe with my family, I discover something new about them. I think it’s important for every artist to look back every now and then and find brand new possibilities for adventures with old work.
