This me. In the morning. No makeup, chapped lips, morning hair that is already rambunctious enough to not stay out of my eyes. After the first cup of coffee but before any real food. Before I sit down at the computer. Before I take my vitamins and stare at my disgustingly long to-do list.

These past few months have been challenging. This summer, my business grew. A little too fast. I came close to burning out (more than once). But I am so lucky to have amazing clients who never cease to inspire. And a support base that reminds me why I loved it all in the first place.

Today, I am inspired. My camera and I are getting out of the apartment and I’m going to remind myself of all the simple things that made me fall in love with photography in the first place. It’s days like these that make you feel like you can conquer anything.

You know you’re a photo nerd when you can spend hours getting lost in a new box of prints and negatives

and you own a toy underwater camera. Because…you know…Why shouldn’t you?

and you take a picture of yourself in a mirror…because you liked the wallpaper. I AM SUCH A PHOTO DORK.
