This shoot was a major blast from the past. Alex is the younger sister of an old friend from CA and for almost the entire shoot I felt like I was back in middle school again. It’s amazing to reconnect with people…especially when they’ve turned into gorgeous portrait subjects with a great fashion sense.

I suddenly feel like practicing my hair shaking abilities to the musical stylings of Willow Smith.

Alison, photographing you was long overdue. And photographing you in some beautiful Los Angeles sun? Icing on the cake.
I should also mention that Alison bravely faced her fears of spiders to lay down in a flower bed for me. If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is. Thanks, girlfriend!
